Onto the main event; the meat. Mackenzies are proud of their locally sourced meat and poultry, sourcing from producers they personally know and trust. Their butchers, Paul and Thomas, take pride in ensuring they only have the best tasting quality meat and when meat only travels a short distance, you simply can’t get any fresher. The butchery duo expertly prepares the best cuts of locally sourced wagyu beef, gammon and pork, as well as making their own delicious sausages and pigs in blankets.
In the smokehouse nestled next to the farm shop, their team take time to create the finest smoked and cured meat, fish and pates. Using traditional methods of curing and smoking, burning only oak chips to ensure the best natural flavour, they’re proud that everything they produce is free from artificial colours and flavourings. From their dressed smoked salmon side, sharing smoked meat and fish platters, or award winning traditional dry cured bacon, their smokehouse creations are guaranteed to impress.
