Regional PR agency M. P. Promotions celebrate their 25th anniversary

Publicist Maria Philippou is the agency’s PR Director which formed on 1st August 2000. Formerly part of London’s independent PR company Sharp End Promotions, Maria has more than 28 years of industry expertise, working on campaigns across diverse genres.

Founded in 2000 by Maria Philippou, M. P. Promotions represents clients ranging from award-winning festival nominees to global musicians. Over the past 25 years, Maria Philippou has played a pivotal role in shaping media campaigns, securing high-profile coverage including sell out festivals and UK tours, working hand in hand with both artists direct, promoters and festival directors.

Maria is excited to see what the next few years bring to her PR agency with her radio and press division seeing it grow into its next phase. Maria Philippou said: “Celebrating 25 years is a huge milestone, to do what you love every day is an absolute privilege. I’ve been fortunate enough to have worked with so many incredible artists and musicians over the years which really makes my job even more special. I enjoy taking our radio and press campaigns to new heights on each individual project. The last 25 years really have been incredible, I work with an amazing team of talented musicians, producers, promoters and festival directors and I’m excited for what’s next.”

The last couple of years have been incredible promoting shows for the likes of Nik Kershaw, The Puppini Sisters, Toyah, Kenny Thomas, Peter Hook & The Light, Gabrielle, Dizzee Rascal, Cast, Leee John of Imagination, Lucy Spraggan, Ronan Keating, Tom Grennan, Clean Bandit, Average White Band, Jess Glynne, McFly, Lloyd Cole, Scouting For Girls, Rag’n’Bone Man, Slade, Steve Harley and The Sweet to name a few.

2025 so far has seen M. P. Promotions work on several projects including The Brit Fest, Stoke 100’s Trentham Shows, 10cc’s Graham Gouldman, Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Glenn Tilbrook, Heaven 17, Ella Henderson, Leo Sayer, Ellie Sax, Martin Kemp ’80s DJ Set, Gary Davies, Skipinnish and up and coming artist Belle along with outside events for Ocean Colour Scene, The Wombats and Olly Murs.
